3.1.1 Conversion

In the process of English-Chinese translation, in order to obtain a smooth andnatural translation, the words of source text can be converted into another category, Itis a common translation method because it can keep the original meaning of sourcetext. Guo Zhuzhang (2003) proposes that due to the differences in grammar andlanguage habits between the two languages, words will be converted into othercategories in the target language during the translation, which is called the conversionof words.
