摘要:本文是一篇小学英语教学论文,本研究调查了上海市小学牛津英语教材二次开发中存在的问题,分析了其影响因素,并从单元整合的角度提出了可行的教材二次开发方法。

本文是一篇小学英语教学论文,笔者认为就教师自身的问题而言,他们缺乏重新开发教材的能力,这表现在他们缺乏单元意识、整合和利用教学资源的能力以及应用理论知识的能力。缺乏单元意识使学生很难系统地学习。对多模式教学资源的探索不足,不利于激发小学生的学习兴趣。
Chapter One Introduction

1.1 Research Background

First of all, textbooks are an important carrier of the curriculum and also the main medium and tool for teachers to teach and students to learn in teaching. With the gradual deepening  of  the  new  curriculum  reform,  the  policy  of  “one  syllabus  and  multiple textbooks” has been gradually implemented. Teachers are encouraged to use diversified teaching  materials  flexibly  under  the  basic  requirements  of  the  state,  and  they  are required to redevelop the textbooks creatively and scientifically, as well as to integrate the textbooks with other teaching materials in a timely and appropriate manner so as to meet students’ needs and optimize the teaching effectiveness. 

Secondly,  the  new  curriculum  reform  advocates  the  curriculum  concepts  of democracy,  development,  and  science  and  also  establishes  a  three-level  curriculum management policy for the national, local, and school-based curriculum, requiring the curriculum to be integrated with teaching. Teachers play a significant role in curriculum reform, and they should also become the developers of the curriculum (Zhu 2002). Therefore, it is quite obvious that the new curriculum reform places a high value on teachers’ right to engage in the curriculum development by creatively redeveloping textbooks. Correspondingly, the new view of textbooks believes that the extent to which teachers  use  English  textbooks  provides  a  clear  distinction  in  their  level  of professionalism (Zhong, Cui and Zhang 2004).  

National English Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education (2011 Edition) points out that textbooks as the teaching materials and methods are of vital significance for achieving teaching objectives. And curriculum reform clearly proposes the idea of “teaching with textbooks” instead of “teaching textbooks”, which is a brand-new view of  teaching  materials  that  those  teaching  materials  must  be  constructed  flexibly.  It manifests the inherent requirements for teachers to redevelop textbooks. Teachers are no longer the faithful transmitters and narrators of textbooks, and students are not the passive receivers of knowledge any more. 

1.2 Research Purposes and Significance

With the deepening understanding of NECS (2011) and the implementation of unit integration instruction, the demands for teachers are getting higher. The professional development of teachers has become a hot issue and how to redevelop textbooks is of great significance in English teaching. 

1.2.1 Research Purposes
