If you were someone living by fishing, but did not catch one fish in 84 days, you must feel disappointed. May be you will not work for a long time or you will lose your heart. Santiago, who faced the same situation, did not lose heart, although people around him thought he was bad luck. On the contrary, he continued working on the ocean.

All above those need hard work spirit. If he were lazy, he would be dying on the island.
