摘要:In our life we will meet an awful lot of problems such as failures, death of lovers, unfair treatment and so on, all of which we have to endure. Some of us choose to face them with courage and determination while some others do not.

ence in one’s own capabilities combined with sincere efforts helps one to achieve unthinkable heights.

While people looking into their own hearts and mind, they will come to know that fear inside leads to fail, whereas confidence makes success. This is because with confidence people can put all thoughts into words in a better and pleasing way.

If you thought were living alone on an isolated island and you was become the King of the island, you would only think about the nice beach, the beautiful trees, and a great many gentle animals. That is your temporary thoughts, then your sense may tell you there will be storms and wild beasts. Finally you will give up your dream.  Robinson was an adventurer of sail, living alone on an isolated island for many years. He could get through the hard life on the island, because he had many advantages. For example, he was full of courage and wisdom, which makes him overcome all difficulties that he met.

If you were someone living by fishing, but did not catch one fish in 84 days, you must feel disappointed. May be you will not work for a long time or you will lose your heart. Santiago, who faced the same situation, did not lose heart, although people around him thought he was bad luck. On the contrary, he continued working on the ocean.

As Gorgy says “Only confident people who can have at any place are immersed in the life of confidence achieve their own end”.

2.1.2 Hard -Working

Nowadays, it is generally believed among some young people that success comes from luck. They believe it in love, in examinations, and even in promotion,  in fact, success depends on knowledge and hard work. You can get whatever you dream of if you work hard enough. Though you may fail sometimes, you are bound to succeed someday when you stick to your goals. Remember, your fate lies in you own hands. Your future also lies in your own hands. As long as you put your heart into your work, all your dreams will come true, which Robinson and Santiago can give us an good example.

Daniel Defoe, one of the earliest realists, brought to us a representative of successful man by vividly narrating Robinson’s adventure. Robinson Crusoe is a real hero worth of worship, as he didn’t succeed by luck and accident but hard work. He almost has everything needed for becoming a successful man, such as great creativity, very excellent working capacity, inexhaustible energy, courage, patience, and persistence in overcoming obstacles. As the saying says “to make the car faster, you give the car ground oil”.

Hard-working is the basic element for Robinson success.

On the isolate island Robinson built a wood house all by himself. He had a garden with many grapes, rice and corn. He was good at planting, because he once lived in Brazil, he feed on planting. He caught some young wild goats to get milk and eat their meat. Nobody talked to him; he feed a parrot and taught it to speak. Then he saved a young man from savages with his guns. All above those need hard work spirit. If he were lazy, he would be dying on the island.

Hemingway gives us a code guy image by vividly describe Santiago’s fish life. The old man—Santiago on the back of his neck deep wrinkles, appear thin, haggard, with the sun at sea on tropical brown pimple; he always pull a big fish because of the uneven l论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
