Background:Feng X X,a female patientwho is in the period of climacterium is suffering from hyperthyroidis.She of ten loses her temper lately.On the day of admission she had a quarrel with the financial personnel of her unit over money matters.She got very angry with her wardmates when they turned their radio a little louder.The nurse in charge believes that the patient has some“Social Intercourse Difficulty”.So she decides to try to calm her temper.
背景:女病人冯某正处于更年期,患的又是甲状腺机能亢进,脾气急躁。住院那天,因为借住院费押金而与单位财务科工作人员发生争吵。入院后,又因同室病友放录音机声音稍响而与之怄气。责任护士感到病人存在“社交障碍”,应设法帮助她稳定情绪。于是,责任护士找到了依然怒气冲冲的冯某。
Nurse:Would you like to have a sit with me in the garden?我们去花园坐一会儿,好吗?
Patient:(Nods and goes with the nurse to a stone bench in the garden).(点点头随护士来到花园石椅边)
N:Sit down,please,(They both sit face to face).Could you tell me what is the thing you want to do the most these days?

P:To have the disease cured and go home as quickly as possible for my son is going to sit for the college entrance examination next month.

N:Now I see you have great worries and hope others will worry for you.Is it possible? The financial peronnel must perform the routine procedure and the wardmates have their freedom to kill their time by listening to the radio.If you were in their position,you would not be angry at all.

P:But I can’t stand it.The more I think of it the more angry I become.It seems to me that everyone is hostile to me.

N:I can fully understand you.But I must tell you that anger and hot temper won’t do any good to your health.My advice is when you are atthe moment of getting angry,you just think the most important thing for me to do is to make a quick recovery and go home to look after my son when he is sitting for the examinations. It’s no use getting angry with others or over trifles.This may help to calm yourself.
