我只是毕业于南安大略大学的毕业新生之一,毕业生们不得不选择一种雇佣方式来进入教师行业。我被选定去国外教学(泰国)而并非是离家乡近的地方,在北安大略。对于我来说,它谈到的是生活方式。尽管北安大略湖离家会更近一些,也会从更广的方面去看待这次经历。我知道在泰国我会看到也会经历很振奋人心的事,也会有很快乐的时光。我很年轻,我想要有激情的生活方式并且我认为我的这些需求不会在那里得到满足。我不想我的第一年教学就孤独压抑的浪费在那里。

北部努力创造人才:吸引老师到北安大略社区
教育研究认为提供合适的教育的最本质的因素就是有能力提供最稳定最合格的员工(罗伯特,2004)。目前许多北安大略大学的董事不能够为学校雇到足够的员工。北安大略湖是很多学校的聚集之地,合格的老师以及教学质量等这些都不能得到充足的供应。很明显,这些学校需要采取一些措施,因为在别的学校的学生也有明显的缺点。使这一问题变得极其重要的原因是南安大略大学都涌入了一大批在他们的专业领域找不到工作的合格老师,尽管北安大略大学已经拥有了很多年轻又高资历的专业教师,可是他们仍努力想获得一些老师。
The Northern Struggle For Talent Education essay
At the moment I am one of the many new graduates from southern Ontario who have had to find an alternate method of employment to break into the teaching field. I was drawn to teaching abroad (in Thailand) instead of staying close to home and teaching in northern Ontario. To me it came down to lifestyle. Though northern Ontario was closer to home and the experience would be considered with greater regard; I knew that in Thailand I would see and experience more exciting things and would have a more enjoyable time. I am young and I want a lifestyle of excitement and I didn't think that my needs could be filled in northern Ontario. I did not want to spend my first year teacher isolated and stressed in northern Ontario.
Northern Ontario has been known to long as a place of isolation, a struggling economy, and harsh climates among other things. I would argue that northern Ontario school boards will forever have a problem obtaining qualified workers. Despite all this I do believe that at the moment they need to take full advantage of the current teaching situation in Ontario. This is a viable way to obtain many new teachers and I believe some will end up staying. The teaching market is cyclical and if the current situation is not capitalized on now I believe in a few years obtaining teachers will only become harder.
The Northern Struggle for Talent: Attracting Teachers to Northern Ontario Communities
Educational research argues the most substantial factor in providing a suitable education is the ability to provide a stable and qualified staff (Roberts, 2004). Currently many northern Ontario school boards are unable to adequately staff their schools. With the inability to locate and retain qualified teachers the quality of education being offered in many schools in northern Ontario is inadequate. It is has become evident that action needs to be taken as many students in these schools are at a clear disadvantage. What makes this problem particularly important is currently southern Ontario is flooded with qualified teachers unable to find work in their profession. Despite the many young and highly qualified teaching professionals many schools located in northern Ontario struggle obtaining teachers.
The following is a study examining the three main difficulties northern Ontario school boards are facing 1) staffing schools; 2) retaining teachers and; 3) and attaining qualified teachers, looking at why this problem exists and possible ways to better the situation. The study will argue that by re-
