Attribute analogy is the most common and simple form of analogical reasoning,whichrefers to the analogical reasoning based on the similarity of attributes between the elements inthe tenor and the vehicle.Attribute analogy is a kind of unitary analogy.That is to say,if Aand B are similar,we can deduce that the attributes A have also belongs to B.With the help ofattributive analogy,the characteristics of tenor is highlighted,and the understanding isdeepened.Readers may understand the meaning of the text through association,thus thecomprehension becomes easier and more vividly.Several attributive analogy cases wereselected to be analyzed as follows.

6 Conclusion

From the perspective of Koller’s translation equivalence theory,this paper studies thethree types of analogy in Zizhi Tongjian,namely,attribute analogy,relational analogy andstructural analogy.Based on Rafe’s English version of Zizhi Tongjian,this paper analyzes thetendency of translation strategies and the effects of analogy in translation.
