Distinction 75-100%
• demonstrates a sound grasp of the pertinent issues impacting upon the selected company’s global marketing strategy
• shows an in-depth understanding of material covered in the module
• shows evidence of having synthesised and evaluated existing theory in the provision of thoughtful, incisive and forward-looking conclusions
• coherent, persuasive and well-structured argument - clearly expressed and competently composed
Merit 65-74%
• demonstrates an overall grasp of the relevant material and pertinent issues
• good level of theory analysis, demonstrable understanding of material and some appreciation of how theory informs practice
• largely competent in structure and presentation
Pass 50-64%
• demonstrates an adequate if sometimes superficial grasp of the relevant material
• fair level of theory analysis, though at times descriptive, incomplete and lacking in argument; some inconsistency in statements proferred and conclusions reached
• adequately structured and fairly presented
Fail 0-49%
• deficient understanding and/or failure to address key module concepts/issues
• poorly structured; absence of coherent argument
