摘要:本文是一篇英语论文范文,本文以Halliday和Hasan的语篇衔接理论与Corder的错误分析理论为理论框架,以武汉市L中学高二年级A班和B班学生的一次考试中的100篇读后续写作文为样本,针对其中的语篇衔接手段的使用和使用错误进行研究。

本文是一篇英语论文范文,本研究提出了相应的教学对策,即:加强对语篇衔接知识的系统讲解、加强各类衔接手段的专项练习、加强英汉衔接手段对比分析、训练学生续写时充分利用前文中衔接手段的能力与加强发挥阅读对写作的促进作用的教学策略并进行了检验,以期能为高中英语教师读后续写写作教学和高中生读后续写写作学习提供一定的借鉴。

Chapter 1 Introduction

1.1 Research Background

English writing in senior high school can best reflect senior high school students’levelof English learning ability,and is also an important component in senior high school Englishteaching curriculum.It is an essential part of NMET(the Chinese National MatriculationEnglish Test)to inspect students’ability of English expression.According to General SeniorHigh School English Curriculum Standards(“Standards”in short)(2017 edition revised in2020),after completing their senior high school English courses,students should be able toidentify and analyze the cohesive devices.Specifically,students are also supposed to applycohesive devices in writing to improve coherence.Based on literature review and theexperience of internship,the author discovers that in English writing teaching in China,under the enrollment pressure on further education,teachers tend to use traditional writingteaching methods and focus on vocabulary and grammar knowledge(Qin Xin,2021).Students lack specialized and systematic guidance,resulting in a large number of excessivepronouns,conjunctions and lexical cohesive errors in students’writing,which reveals theirweak awareness of textual cohesion.Meanwhile,for the majority of senior high schoolstudents,writing an excellent composition with fluency and proper cohesion remains asignificant challenge(Du Jinbang,2001).To address this common issue,Standardsrecommends that students should be able to adopt connective words,demonstrativepronouns and lexical cohesion to establish logical relations and use cohesive devices toimprove the coherence of the expression to design a reasonable text structure.In someprovinces,the English writing of the new NMET has been divided into two parts,the first ofwhich is a practical writing scoring 15 points.The other component,which is worth 25points,is continuation task.The two parts are added up to 40 points in total.As a new task ofwriting,continuation task concentrates on students’capacity to use the provided sentencesand hints in the preceding text to carry on writing after reading a narrative text.Thecontinuation task meets the requirement of Standards on students’ability of comprehensionand expression,and also highlights the significance of using textual cohesion in writing.

1.2 Research Purpose

The Standards puts forward more requirements on cohesion for students’writtenexpression.Therefore,the use of cohesion plays a very important role in writing.It is veryimportant to understand the use of textual cohesion in senior high school students,helpstudents correctly and effectively use various cohesive devices to promote the coherence ofstudents’writing,and then improve the quality of writing.Through reading related literatureand combining internship experience,the author finds that the study of cohesion in Englishwriting mainly focuses on students at the higher education,while less on those at senior highschool and that the majority of the existing studies are based on senior high school students’practical writing texts,with fewer studies on continuation task.Furthermore,many seniorhigh school students lack a comprehensive understanding of textual cohesion theory and areu论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
