After analysis, the purpose of this corpus is to explain a series of professional concepts to the audience with a large number of concise examples, and the interpreter paid more attention to the communicative function of the interpretation when reinterpreting it. 

Chapter Two Theoretical Basis

2.1 Reader-Response-Theory

Combining the analysis and prediction of the characteristics of this talk, the author mainly reviewed and read the relevant studies on science texts and communicative interpretation before the task, and envisioned the guiding theory and interpretation strategy.

In the 1980s, a series of theories by the famous American translation theorist Eugene Nida was introduced to China one after another, and an important part of his 'functional equivalence theory' and its branch, 'reader response theory', has aroused strong reactions and received great attention in the domestic translation academic circles. The core of the 'reader response theory' is that the reader gives life to the text and the reader's understanding of the text is the meaning of the text. This theory emphasizes the centrality of readers and advocates that the quality of translations should be measured from the perspective of the target language and readers' feelings. If a translator does not take the reader's reaction into account, his or her translation will never be a high-quality translation. The 'reader-response theory' emphasizes the importance of the target language readers' reading experience and feelings, and the translator's contribution to the message of the original text. He believes that to vividly and authentically convey the style of the original work and to make the target language readers feel the same as the original language readers while reading the translation, the translator should make appropriate changes to the form of the original text in the translation process. 

2.2 Reader-Response-Theory in Interpreting

With the continuous development of science and technology, the importance of science popularization has become more and more significant. How to improve the translation quality of science and technology texts is an important issue facing the majority of translators. In most people's impression, scientific and technical texts are mostly serious and stereotypical, almost devoid of literary artistry and beauty. However, should this be the case for science and technology texts, which are used to disseminate scientific knowledge and scientific truths? The answer is no. With the development of the Internet, people have more and more opportunities to acquire knowledge on the Internet. The speed of knowledge updating is also gradually accelerating, and how to present cutting-edge knowledge to domestic practitioners in an efficient, accurate, and vivid manner poses demands and challenges to translators. The translation is difficult creative work, but also a process of language output. Although the translation is converted from English to Chinese, the translator should change the form of the original text as much as possible based on faithfulness to the original text.
