Abstract:This paper analyzes the forming process of Jane Eyre’s characteristics and its realistic meaning. Readers’ long love for Jane Eyre mainly because it portrays the character of the heroine. In this reason, it attracts thousands of readers. The rebelling consciousness to the great pressure which was brought by the traditional moral, the equal consciousness, the rebelling spirit to fight for freedom, equality, independency and happiness, which reflects on the heroine Jane Eyre has ever moved readers and are still moving the readers. Jane’s character is gradually formed and become mature. In the specific environment, and her rebelling spirit and independency consciousness is also a process from spontaneity to consciousness. TO DISCUSS THE FORMING OF Jane’s character in this material society is of important realistic meaning. There are much goodness on Jane for us to learn. As a modern woman, in the allure of money, power and influence, we should keep a sober mind, know what we need and everyone is equal, we have the right to love and be loved.

摘 要:《简•爱》经久不衰，在于其成功塑造了女主人公富有魅力的性格，正是因为如此，她吸引了千千万万的读者。
小说中女主人公简•爱身上体现出了对当时旧的传统道德带来极大冲击的反叛意识、平等意识。为争取自由平等、独立、幸福的反抗精神，曾经而且仍在感动着读者，简的性格是在特定的环境中逐渐发展成熟的，其反抗精神独立意识也是一个由自发到自觉的过程。在今天这个物质社会探讨简的性格形成，尤其具有重大的现实意义。简•爱身上有很多令人称道的东西，作为一名现代女性，在金钱、权势等诱惑面前，必须保持清醒的头脑，知道自己真正的需要什么，上帝面前人人平等，我们有权力选择爱人和被人爱。
