4.1 Amplification

As a kind of translation method, amplification is based on the literal translation,the second modification of the national culture and historical background, that is,adding text to the allusions in the current article (Liu, 2017), it is based on thedifferent thinking, language habits and expressions of the target language and thesource language, adding some words, short sentences, or even sentences during translation, so that it can express more accurately the meaning to be conveyed in theoriginal text.

E.g.6:

ST: Come over and see me this arvo.

TT: 今天下午来看我吧!

Arvo means afternoon in Australian, they abbreviated this afternoon to this afto,and then abbreviated to this arvo and sarvo. It is more used and used more exclusivelyby Australians than by any other nation. Furthermore, the use of suffixes makes thewords emotional and catchy, for example, Abo in the text is the acronym forAboriginal.

5.1 Summary of the Translation Task

For the whole article, the translator writes from five aspects, the first is thedescription of the task, the second is the meaning of the task, the third theoretical part,then the example analysis based on the theory, and finally, the summary part.

Hughie is children's literature, therefore, the translator uses the correspondingtranslation strategy in the framework of children's literature. The theoretical part canbe found in Chapter 3 and Chapter 4. In order to make the target reader easy tounderstand, the translator tries to use interesting language acceptable to children totranslate the vocabulary. In translation, the translator feels deeply.

Children's literature includes both 'children' and 'literature'. Childhood andliterature are the dual characteristics of children's literature (Shi, 2020). When itcomes to the translation of children's literature, people will easily think that thetranslator can express the meaning of the original text with easy-to-understand wordsand sentences. In fact, the translation of children's literature is more difficult than thetranslation of adult literature.

When translating, the translator encountered many culture-loaded words relatedwith Australian language, vocabulary.
