4.1.1 The Analysis of the English Homework Amount
As for the fourth question of“the time for students to finish English homeworkevery day”,in view of the time students finish homework is related to their Englishlevels,the author made a cross analysis between the two(table 4-1).It can be seenthat 36.9%of students said that they could finish it within 30 minutes.54.9%in anhour.To sum up,a total of 91.8%of students can finish in an hour.Among them,62.5%,43.0%,60.7%and 60%of the excellent,good,passing and failing studentsrespectively said that they completed English homework within one hour.The resultsshow that after the“double reduction”policy,a small number of students can finishEnglish homework in half an hour,and most students still need half an hour to anhour to finish English homework.

5.1 Major Findings
Based on the research results of domestic and foreign scholars on homework inprimary and secondary schools,this paper analyzes the amount,difficulty,design,correction and evaluation of English homework in junior middle school Englishhomework under the background of“double reduction policy”through interviewswith front-line teachers and questionnaires to students,and record students’Englishhomework truly.Therefore,the major findings were presented as follows:
