Conclusion

After the research of abundant examples, the author draws a conclusion of E-Cnews translation based on Skopos Theory. As a matter of fact, E-C news translationaims to produce target Chinese news in China’s society for Chinese readers with thepurpose of informing, persuading and entertaining. In brief, to some extent, translationis somehow like an official communicator responsible for conveying the information inan appropriate way so as to ensure that the information can be comfortably accepted inChina. As to the translator, he/she should actively select the useful items and appropriatetranslation strategies. It is very necessary for translated news to be adequate to thepurpose rather than to be equivalent with the source text.
All in all, because of the author’s limited knowledge in news translation study andthe lack of practical experiences, the ideas in this paper may not be very mature.Meanwhile, news translation strategies and other related theories are still developingevery minute, so this paper can not contain all the future aspects of them. The E-C newstranslation still has a long way to go. The most valuable thing is to keep up the researchenthusiasm and the spirit of devotion to the further study. The author is hoping for muchmore research results and continuously improving the quality of English newstranslation.
