4.1 Descriptive statistics

The descriptive statistics have been detailed below to show respondents data for demographic, environment variable and CCA. 

4.1.1 Demographic profile of respondents

320 questionnaires were sent out, 221 were recollected, 63 invalid questionnaires (with incomplete data) were excluded, finally 158 were effective, the effective rate was 49.3%.

Based on Table 4.1, majority of the respondents on sex 103(65.2%) were male and 55(34.8%) were female. The age distribution has 25 or less 38(24.1%), 26-30 has 73(46.2%) respondents and 31 or more has 47(29.7%).  On marital status 113(71.5%) were single, 38(24.1%) were married, 5(3.2%) were divorced and 2(1.3%) people were separated. When it comes to religion, none religious respondents were 43(27.2%), Atheism 14(8.9%), Christianity 69(43.7%), Islam 21(13.3%), Traditional African Religion 5(3.2%) and other religions had 6(3.8%). 

The type of high school system was 53(33.5%) for Private and 105(66.5%) for Public. However, academic degree of study for respondents had Bachelors 68(43%), Masters 65(41.1%) and Doctorate 25(15.8%). The current year of study was from 1st to 6th semester. 1st 29(18.4%), 2nd 27(17.1%), 3rd 33(20.9%), 4th 23(14.6), 5th 14(8.9%), 6th 32(20.3%) Most students are sponsored by Family 68(43.0%) others are on Scholarship with 54(34.2%) and Personal source of tuition 36(22.8%).

5.1 Discussion

As the research content stipulated, this study was bent on arriving at a conclusion on a few questions that was generated. The questions asked on said paragraph was:
