Ecofeminism demonstrates critical links  that  were  thought  to  exist  between  militarism,  sexism,  classism,  racism,  and environmental  destruction.  It  absorbs  the  essence  of  ecologism,  holds  the  holistic view of nature from the perspective of feminism, and highlights the positive role of women, finally forming a unique ecological feminist theory. 

2.1.1 Major thoughts of ecofeminism

First,  the  relationship  between  women  and  nature  are  the  focus  of  ecofeminism. Ecofeminism  sees  the  deep  and  long-standing  historical  and  cultural  connection between women and nature. 2.2 Methodology

First,  this  paper  employs  the  method  of  literature  analysis.  The  author  looked  up related books in the library, searched related documents on the Internet and collected related  materials.  On  this  basis,  this  paper  analyzes  the  research  status  of ecofeminism  and  Dreiser  at  home  and  abroad  and  attempts  to  analyze  Jennie Gerhardt from an ecofeminist perspective.
