摘要:However, comparing with students from Han nationality, Uyghur college students are in lowlevel, and they want to enlarge their English vocabulary size and improve their English level assoon as possible. So their motivation of English vocabulary learning is clearer and more definitethan Han nationality students.
Chapter V Research results and data analysis
5.1 The research subjects and statistical analysis
The research mainly combines two methods, one is experiment contrast, and the other isquestionnaire survey. It applies in two teaching classes in school of Uyghur language and cultureof Northwest University for Nationalities. The subjects come from 2010 grade, in which one is anadjustment class and the other is middle class. In this experiment, coverage is wide and subjectsare typical. Author carries out experiment from many ways and angles, and collects data as fullyas possible in order to reflect the effect of the teaching method after reforming.The experiment is divided into three parts, including pre-test,mid-term questionnaire andpost-test. The subjects come from two parallel classes and almost being in a same level, so theyare typical. In my investigation,a large proportion of students are girls,but the proportion of boysreachs 20%, that is because subjects are arts students. Conclusion
This Study is a description of a tentative research on the application of task-based approach inEnglish vocabulary-teaching of Uyghur students. During four months experiment,students aretotally and authentically engaged in using language to fulfill tasks (doing things) by means ofnegotiating, communicating and cooperating. After experiment, students can use what they learnedin the classroom (into practice) to solve problems what they meet in real life. The self-directedlearning, the interactive learning and the cooperative learning are greatly provoked in theleamer-centered instruction. Students’ attitude to learning English has changed a lot, in otherwords, most students can leam English autonomously and effectively. And the result from thequestionnaire and tests about the application of TBA on students shows that the hypothesis isavailable. So we can come to a conclusion that students benefits a lot from the application oftask-based approach, which is useful to learn the vocabulary and improve the ability of languageusing for Uyghur college students.
