To the most of Chinese students, the culture of English country is different from Chinese culture. For this reason, as a part of culture education, English language teaching is the education of cross culture communication whose purpose is to establish open and reasonable cross culture communication mentality which is cognition, understanding, and option absorbing foreign land’s culture. So English teaching is independent from culture transmission. The essence of English teaching is to train the ability of using English and help students form a reasonable cross culture consciousness between English and Chinese cultures.
