摘要:本文是一篇商务英语翻译论文,笔者认为无生命主语句是英语中一种非常特殊的语法现象。虽然汉语中有相似的句型,但它们的普遍性和丰富性要低得多。

s in fact makes translation more difficult.

Chapter 2 Task Description

2.1 Pre-translation

After selecting the source text and deciding on the cases to be used in this translation report, the translator has made some pre-translation preparations to ensure the quality of the translation.

Firstly, the translator learns the background knowledge of the content of the source text so that the translator can understand it more accurately and comprehensively. The translator has therefore read a great deal of material on climate change and economics, in particular Nordhaus' work, which is mentioned several times in the source text. Having completed the relevant reading, the translator has a basic understanding of climate economics and a more accurate understanding of the author's views in the source text.

Secondly, the translator reads the source text several times to become familiar with the main content and structure of the text. In this way, the translator can make an accurate translation based on this.

Thirdly, the translator identified the terms in the source text and listed a glossary. The translator found the meanings and Chinese translations of these terms by using several authoritative dictionaries as well as online dictionaries and by combining them with some of the leading works on climate economics.

Fourth, the translator lists the formulas in the source text and understands the meaning in conjunction with economics and mathematical references. This helps the translator to develop a more accurate understanding of the content of the book.

Before the translation work begins, the translator converts the source text in pdf format into a docx file, which makes the operation of the translation process easier and more accurate. After completing the above, the translator communicated with his supervisor and consulted with experts in economics on some difficult issues and complete the preparation of the first draft for translation.

2.2 While-translation

After thorough preparation, the translators began work on the translation. The translator has divided the source text into three parts according to chapters, taking into account the different lengths and information content of each chapter, and has used three days, four days, and two weeks to translate each part. During the translation process, the translator places a high priority on consistency of terminology and continuous improvement of the glossary. The translators also identified sentences in the source text that were difficult to understand or for which they were unsure of the translation, and determined the translation by asking the supervisor and other classmates.

During the course of the translation, the translator also regularly submits the translation to the supervisor for review. After reviewing the translation, the supervisor gave some revisions. These included problems with sentence comprehension and expression. Immediately after receiving the corrections, the translator made the required changes to address the shortcomings. The translator benefited greatly from this revision process and took great care to avoid the same problems in subsequent translations.

In the course of the translation, the translator was particularly concerned about the large number of inanimate subject sentences in the text论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
