6.1 Major Findings

From the perspective of Eco-translatology, this study holds that the use ofdifferent translation strategies in practice has important theoretical and practical value.Under the guidance of Eco-translatology theory, a new perspective is established onthe scope and application of different translation strategies, and new standards andrequirements are put forward according to translation activities. In the process ofprose translation, different translation strategies are different. Therefore, in order tofully understand Eco-translatology theory, translators must master and improve theirability to apply these strategies in practice.

6.1.1 The Integrity of TranslationActivities

Translation is the process of transplanting a text from one linguistic and culturalbackground to another. In this process, the conversion of words to words, culture toculture, and finally the communicative functions are realized. As a unified wholesystem, Eco-translatology integrates the original text, the translated text, the originalauthor and the translator into a unified translation ecological environment, in whichtranslation activities were interpreted by Darwin’s natural selection and adaption.Under the guidance of the three ecological principles of “Eco-holism, TraditionalEastern Eco-wisdom, and Translation as Adaptation and Selection”(Hu Gengshen,2019:1), it is expected to achieve a perfect match between the target text and theoriginal text in terms of language, culture and communication. Therefore, it hasprofound theoretical and practical significance to combine the whole translation process organically.
