Conclusion
Through the author's study in Sihuang middle school and her own experience,the author found that there are a large number of students with English difficulties inthe vast rural areas. The reasons for this are various,but under the guidance ofconstructivism, the author did the survey mainly from four aspects: studentsthemselves, teachers and schools,textbooks and teaching materials,and also family.The research results show that current English learning and teaching are actuallyrunning out of the track of constructivism, but based on the research, the authoradvised that only when the teachers and students are aware of the following things,the English learning difficulties in rural middle schools can be solved.
First, from the viewpoint of the constructivism, students are not blank slatesupon which knowledge is taught. They come to learning situations with alreadyformulated knowledge, ideas, and understandings. This previous knowledge is the rawmaterial for the new knowledge they will create. The student is the person whocreates new understanding for himself/herself. The teacher coaches, moderates,suggests, but allows the students room to experiment, ask questions, try things thatdon't work. Learning activities require the students' full participation. An importantpart of the learning process is that students reflect on,and talk about, their activities.Students also help set their own goals and means of assessment.
