2.3 The Study Situations of B-SLIM
At present, the study of B-SLIM in Canada has reached a very high level. Because of its easy to operate and the remarkable in learning effect, there were more than 20 non-English speaking countries promote and practice it in English teaching. They all have achieved excellent results [5]. The English teaching in China is faced with an important education reform. Teaching model plays an important role among the reform. In recent years, the use of B-SLIM model is a specific performance in this reform. Both Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange and the Education department of Guangxi are attaching importance to cultural development in Western Region. Moreover, so far, there are lots of English teachers have come to the north Alberta institute of technology in Canada. Their tasks are mainly to study the B-SLIM teaching model. These teachers are from most places of Guangxi province. Thus both urban and rural are benefited by this teaching model. Most of these teachers are using this teaching model in their class. They promote it to other teachers. Consequently, the majority of them succeed to improve their teaching level and the students’ ability of English learning [5]. Now the studies of B-SLIM model are not so completed, and most of these studies are about how to improve oral English, speaking, reading and literature. For example, the study of Pang Lin is about a research on the application of B-SLIM to English in higher vocational colleges [5]. The study of Zhong Weihong is B-SLIM and its Enlightenment to English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges [6]. The study of Jia Zhi is about the application of B-SLIM to achieve the teaching purpose with the students as the main body [7]. The study of Pang Lin, Zhang Xiaochuang and Yang Li is about the application of B-SLIM to English reading teaching in higher vocational colleges [8]. The study of Huang Xiao is about B-SLIM and oral English teaching in university [9], and the study of Yang Xiaoju is about the application of B-SLIM to English listening and speaking teaching [10]. In these studies, some of them are about the English teaching in university or junior middle school or higher vocational college. Some of them are about speaking, listening and literature in English teaching. Nevertheless, there are not studies about the English grammar teaching in senior high school. However, grammar occupies a very important position in English teaching. Especially, in senior high school, the quality of grammar teaching is related to performance of college entrance examination. Under the big pressure of college entrance examination, how to teach grammar effectively so that students can learn English happily and successfully are the problems that teachers need to solve. In general, B-SLIM is a better method to solve these problems among other teaching models.
III. A Teaching Plan of English Grammar in Senior high school
Students often need to practice the grammar in senior high school.
