The best way of transformation is to encouragestudents to memorize. Then it makes teaching and learning efficiency more perfect. Bothcommunicative approach and recitation used in China at present have their own advantages anddisadvantages in learning a foreign language.Recitation is a traditional strategy in learning, especially in learning a language, which wasused by many successful English learners. It played a very important role in China, wherestudents didn't have many real language situations and it really had very good effects. However,because of the development of our society, students nowadays can easily have more chances tolearn English in some modem ways, such as English tapes, videos, films, communicating withforeigners or even going abroad for a period of time. As a sequence, students are better atspeaking. On the other hand, they often make a lot of mistakes in their oral English, although itdoes not influence their communication. They lack accuracy in their written work. So comes theimportance of large amount of input of correct and exact language. The problem is that thestudents are becoming lazy and are not willing to spend time on repetition and recitation. Thereason is not the method itself is not scientific, but is the way they go through the process. So ifthe teacher can teach them to take in language by effective reciting and show them the memorystrategies which are not interesting instead of being boring, they will soon form a good habit ofrecitation. Then the real learning happens.The best way we can use is to try to find a learning strategy which can cover the advantageousfeatures of the two learning strategies in one learning strategy. And interest-based recitation can be asuitable way to solve the problem. The procedure of interest-based recitation is a scientific processhappens in learners' mind. Above all, recitation must be established on students' interest andunderstanding, which is conform to people's cognition and thinking rules. It is on the base of inputhypo

At the very beginning, the learners put in enough relevant and understandableinformation, and then the information must be processed, internalized by the learners' mind.Secondly, the information must be stored in mind after being repeated a lot of times by the forms ofreading and reciting.
