摘要:本文是一篇高中英语论文,根据客观和主观情况,本文的局限性可以概括如下。首先,本文的研究对象是乌鲁木齐市一所高中的302名学生。然而,样本规模相对较小,不能充分反映新疆所有高中的总体情况。其次,毫无疑问,教师在课堂中扮演着重要角色。本研究只关注学生对英语课堂环境的感知,而没有考虑英语教师对课堂环境的认知。

本文是一篇高中英语论文,本研究对302名高中生进行了问卷调查,并分别对三名一年级和二年级学生进行了访谈,以研究他们的英语自主学习能力及其对课堂环境的感知。

Chapter One Introduction

1.1 Research Background

At present,there is no uniform and clear definition of the concept of autonomous learning athome and abroad.Pintrich(2004)proposed a relatively clear and specific definition ofautonomous learning,which became the main reference dimension for later researchers.Hisdefinition of autonomous learning was that autonomous learning was an active and constructivelearning process.In this process,students should firstly set their own learning goals.Then theyneeded to monitor,regulate and control the behaviors,cognition and motivations guided andconstrained by objective and situational characteristics.

The cultivation of self-study and autonomous learning ability is particularly important intoday’s era and it has irreplaceable value in any educational system.The cultivation of learningability coincides with the idea of constructing a learning society,which is conducive to therealization of lifelong learning goals.

Cultivating autonomous learning ability is an inevitable channel for the teacher to changethe phenomenon of English teaching to English education,and it is an effective mean to deepencurriculum reform and cultivate students’innovative talents.In the latest round of curriculumreform,students’learning ability is regarded as the most important part of the English learningprocess.According to the teaching demand of English subject education,English learning abilityhas been included in the core accomplishment of this subject.The English Curriculum Standardsfor Senior High Schools(2017-year Edition)points out that the core competences of Englishsubject mainly include language ability,cultural consciousness,thinking quality,and learningability.At present,the development of students’autonomous learning ability in middle schools isfacing a series of new requirements and challenges,like many schools ignore students'weakautonomous learning ability and greatly reduce the class hours,resulting in the waste ofeducational resources and low teaching effect.

1.2 Significance of the Study

The study of classroom environment has both theoretical significance and practicalsignificance in the cultivation of students'autonomous learning ability.

1.2.1 Theoretical Significance

1.2.1.1 Enrich the Relevant Theories

This paper has a theoretical significance to study the relationship between classroomenvironment and English autonomous learning ability.It may enrich the relevant theories such asLewin’s Field theory and Murray’s Need-Press theory.First of all,this study on the correlationbetween these two key concepts could help advance research on these two factors.In addition,this study lays the experimental data foundation for further research,which can be extended tothe research of the relationship between other factors and English autonomous learning abilityand relevant theories might be enriched through these studies.Secondly,owing to the theoriesadopted in this research that provide the presentation and analysis for this research of thecorrelation between these two important factors,the research might be much more convincing.

1.2.1.2 Provide Different Perspectives of English Autonomous LearningAbility
