摘要:本文是一篇英语翻译论文,笔者认为图式理论在口译中起着不可或缺的作用。口译员应充分发挥他们在工作中的积极作用,丰富他们的知识、文化信息和其他图式,激发他们大脑中现有的语言图式、内容图式和形式图式,并将输入的信息整合起来,以目标语言再现,从而做好口译工作,达到跨文化交际的目的。

本文是一篇英语翻译论文,笔者认为语言不仅是文化的外壳,也是文化的载体。语言总是与特定的文化联系在一起。将文化与语言分开既不可能也不可取。虽然英语在菲律宾广泛传播,但它一直与当地语言和文化相融合,并不断本地化。

Chapter 1 Task Description

1.1 Background of the TaskAs the only Project 211 University in Guangxi jointly constructed by theMinistry of Education and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,Guangxi University(hereinafter referred to as GXU)took the lead in accelerating the pace of schoolinternationalization and exploring a new talent cultivation model.At present,theuniversity attaches great importance to developing inter-school cooperation andextensive academic exchanges with foreign universities and academic institutions.Ithas established friendly and cooperative relations with 240 universities andinstitutions in 45 countries and regions,including University of the Philippines.

The International Exchange Department of GXU is the administrativedepartment responsible for international exchanges and cooperation,and its mainfunctions are to develop friendly relations between GXU and foreign universities.

1.2 Source of the Task

As China forms a stable and healthy strategic partnership with ASEAN countries,China’s cooperation with these countries is deepening,involving economic,political,and cultural fields.To improve education has become increasingly important.In response to the national policy,GXU has played a positive role in developing China’srelations with ASEAN countries.

In response to the needs of the Beihai Foreign Friendship Association,and topromote exchanges and cooperation between GXU and University of the Philippines(hereinafter referred to as UP),as well as to promote the future cooperation betweenthe two universities,the International Exchange Department of GXU invitedProfessor Amente and 16 students from the School of Labor and IndustrialRelations(hereinafter referred to as SoLAIR)of UP to visit GXU for academicexchanges from May 5 to May 9,2019.

During the field study visit,interpreting service needed to be provided by theInternational Exchange Department of GXU.As a trainee in the Department,theauthor took the task.

Chapter 2 Preparation Description

2.1 Long-term Preparation

The long-term preparation involves improving the interpreter’s ability andaccumulating encyclopedic knowledge.

2.1.1 Language Proficiency and Professional Skills

To do anything well,one should know the importance of basic skills.Languageproficiency and professional skills are fundamental for doing an excellent job in thisinterpreting task.As a student at the School of Foreign Languages of GXU,the authorhas studied the following subjects:Interpretation,Translation,ConsecutiveInterpretation,Simultaneous Interpretation,Introduction to Translation,Non-literaryTranslation,and a particular course—Listening and Interpreting of ASEAN English.Under the careful instruction of the teachers,the author has attained some interpretingskills and has mastered the necessary knowledge about translation theory.
