Through constant learning from others and theoretical guidance of Eco-translatology, the present author works them out in the end and comes with an idea that promoting the Chinese culture “going abroad” by translation really has a long way to go, especially needs translators to be equipped with abundant experience and knowledge. With an earnest and vigorous attitude, the present author regards this translation practice as both a chance and a challenge.

Besides, the present author understands the importance of making full preparation through the translation process. In addition to using translation tools, reading relevant materials and making time arrangement, having a further understanding of local culture flavor in source text is of great significance. In light of A Biography of Lu Yao is endowed with a large number of dialectical, political and custom culture-loaded words in northern Shaanxi culture, the cultural connotation should also be paid much attention in translation process. And the present author finds out that being more involved in cultural activities really helps a lot to grasp its cultural characteristics, because she had been to the Memorial Hall of Lu Yao for several times. Of course, the repetitive proofreading can’t be ignored. Sometimes, the present author has difficulty in comprehending the dialectical, political and custom culture-loaded words, leading to misinterpretation and mistakes for the first translation. Thanks to the proofreading of her classmates and teachers who study in translation major, the final version of the translated work can express the local cultural flavor in a correct way.
