Hereare some major findings.
In the first place, at the lexical level, the loss is caused by the inequality of lexisbetween English and Chinese on meanings, including designative meaning andassociative meaning. The method of amplification is to add the relevant information directly in the TL.The annotation within the text is often used to insert the necessary information in thebrackets, facilitating the TL reader to learn about it quickly. Usually, annotationoutsides the text mainly indicates adding footnotes, applied to explicate culturalphenomena and events, as well as some figures that target readers are not familiar.
