Interpretation refers to the impromptu language conversion activity,whichrequires the interpreter to quickly understand the textual meaning of the sourcelanguage through analysis while receiving the source language information,memorizing the source language information,and then expressing it in the targetlanguage.Chinese and English have different cultural backgrounds and expressionhabits,which is a challenge for interpreters.This chapter mainly discussesmisinterpreting in the process of interpretation and tries to find appropriate solutionsthrough case analysis under the guidance of the interpretive theory.

Information redundancy exists naturally in human language.Repeated orsynonymous expressions are common in Chinese.These repetitive or synonymousmessages are sometimes necessary for the Chinese.They can serve as an emphasis.Sometimes,because of the speaker’s linguistic habits,these words have no role inthe sentence.When we translate it into English,if we interpret it directly accordingto the Chinese language,it may not play the same role and may only be cumbersomeand incoherent.In successive simulated interpretations,the interpreter mayencounter many repetitive,synonymous information.Therefore,under the guidanceof the interpretive theory,interpreters accurately understand and process theserepeated synonymous expressions,break away from the shell of the language,andaccurately convey the meaning of the source language by omission and conversionto make the sentences coherent and consistent,in line with the English expressionhabits.

Conclusion
