1.2 Background of the study
Construction Grammar appeared in the late 19th century. It is almost adaptable to the whole language research methods and system. It is evolved from the Cognitive Grammar and it is also the disobedience of the structural grammar. Construction is a form and meaning pair. The ditransitive construction is a frequently used one among all the constructions in human language. In addition, the development of construction grammar provides a new theoretical perspective for the ditransitive construction. As cognitive linguistics develops continuously, many researchers apply the cognitive theory into language practice. Many theoretical articles have been formed. While, few people use the empirical research methods to expound. By deploying two different teaching approaches to the class teaching, this thesis will objectively provides people a real and determined results, which will confirm the correctness of the theoretical hypothesis.

Chapter Two Literature Review
2.1 Overview
Since English ditransitive construction is a commonly seen language phenomenon, it has enjoyed long and various researches from different perspectives home and abroad. With the development of cognitive linguistics, research on ditranstive construction has become deeper and deeper. And most of the research results possess high value to the cognitive linguistic area. Prominent effects have been obtained, especially combing it with second language acquisition and pedagogical aspects. This chapter will give a brief introduction to the pilot researches on English ditranstive construction. In the first section, the author would like to introduce the classification of English ditransitive construction. Section 2.3 will briefly define the concept of English ditransitive construction.
