The first reason why leadership is essential is because there is a degree of incompleteness in every organization design. Social organizations cannot be designed to be like machines, which are simply turned on and allowed to run untouched.
External change.
The second reason why leadership is necessary is because the organization exists in a changing environment. As the external environment changes, leaders are needed to identify the strategic mission of the organization and help it adapt to its changing environment.
Internal change
The third reason for leadership stems from the dynamics of internal change in the organization. Leadership is needed to coordinate the efforts of diverse organizational units, particularly during periods of rapid growth or decline. Leadership is necessary to solve internal conflicts and settle differences of opinion.
Motivation and inspiration
Fourth reason is that why organization require leadership stem from the need to motivate people and maintain their involvement in the organization. Individuals are not stable fixtures within the organization. Instead, they come and go, and when they are present, their needs and Intel interests change.
Leader Role, Team’s Respond.
Leadership should replicate in team involvement. Leaders need to maintain mature teams with advice, control and training if these teams are to continue to get better. successful teams have been establish to have ordinary characteristics. The task that the team member should provide freedom and autonomy, the opportunity to utilize different skills and talents, capability to complete a whole an particular task or product, and doing work that has a significant impact on others.
Effective Leadership makes the teams’ commitment to common point, precise team goals, members who believe in the team abilities, a manageable level of argument and a minimal degree of social loading.(clark, 2005).
The leader create the clarity of the goals into the team members mind motivate ordinary people to achieve extra ordinary.
