ounder of Chinese Communist Party and People's Republic of China) is falling down from the sky. A rock and roll singer dress in the army uniform and sang before the gate of Forbidden City. The whole scene is a combination or collage of some unrelated picture of daily life, and of cause it achieves a strange effect on the orthodox interrelation of the sublime.
Case II. Trio
Unlike R 'n' R @ New Long March, this film is not a MTV. In some sense, it is more like a film---- it's not based on a finished music work, but a totally original cartoon. The whole film is divided into 3 different parts: mini bus, strike and fried duck. These entire episodes are what really happened in the daily life of a Chinese big city, but all these are ignored by the mass media. In the end of every episode, there are some words appeared in the screen indicated that the story is taken from news report. However, in the news report what we can read is simple figure or
statistics. The author of this flash changes that nonsense figure as vivid story. In telling this story, the author uses a humorous way instead of the official tedious style of newspaper. In another word, this film in fact is an irony on the newspaper as well as a reveal of the life ignorance by the mass media.
After a careful exam on the film, several conflictions can be found in this film, in the table below those relations are outlined:
Flash film vs. newspaper
Unofficial vs. official
Humorous vs. tedious
Story vs. statistics
Actually, in the 2nd story-"strike", the author hint his irony on mass media directly. At the beginning of this part, the robbery is watching the TV programme of a baseball match. His tool for robbery---- an iron stick is packed by a newspaper called the weekly Law, a weekly newspaper famous for its promotion of prevention of crime. An interesting fact is in a notorious anti-communist Chinese underground magazine China Spring; the first story in this flash film is also quoted as an example to attack Chinese government. It seems the subversive meaning of the story itself becomes an all-accepted common sense.
Case III. My love is Naked
It's a MTV work like R 'n' R @ New Long March. The original song my love is naked has been banned for nearly one year after its debutante. In many schools and family, teachers and parents may not allow youngster to listen to this song until now. The main reason maybe is the lyric of this song hints sexuality. But this flash work is not as offensive as its originality. The target of the flash film version is the consumer society. At the beginning of the film, all the dark sid e of consumer society or in another word capitalism are shown: red light district, prostitute, illegal drug user, underground gangsters, and corrupted officials. These entire thing really exist in China secretly, but it seems nobody want to recognize its existence. Some frequently appeared images in the film enforce the effects: the McDonald has been reflect on the glasses of the hero times and again. As we all know, McDonald has been considered as the symbol of global capitalism, the symbol of consumer society. It provided fast food as well as sold the Americanised life style. In this film particularly, the McDonald apparently becomes the symbol of the mass product 's press on the individual life.
At the end of the film, the hero fell on the ground. An official certificate appeared in the screen: the Chinese character on it says:
Name: unknown
Sex: unknown
Age
