4.1 Informative Function

As can be seen from the previous chapter,the text function determines the text type.The main function of car maintenance manuals is to convey information of maintenancemethods and precautions to users,so the most important task is to realize the informativefunction.The features of informative text are listed in Figure 6(Munday,2001).

In Figure 6,the informative text emphasizes the accuracy and authenticity oflanguage.During translation,the language function,characteristics,focus,etc.,of theinformative text must be fully considered and appropriate translation strategies need to be employed to realize the informative function.Therefore,it is necessary to improve theaccuracy of terminology,the fluency of sentences,and the logical coherence of discourseto ensure that the content of the maintenance manual could be clearly and accuratelyconveyed to users.

5.Conclusion

5.1 Findings
