6.1 Major Findings
In the light of the Approach to Translation as Adaptation and ion, the authorexamined the development and future of China English from linguistic, communicativeand cultural dimensions. As a matter of fact, in the process of translation, elements oflanguage, culture and communication are intertwined, which sometimes are very difficultto be dissociated (Hu Gengshen 2004: 135). As one point of view, the birth anddevelopment of China English is drawn by the need to translate and describeChinese-featured things, notions and traditional culture. From another standpoint, theemergency of China English is the outcome of globalization as well as the fruit of growinginternational status of China. Meanwhile, it is also the product of interculturalcommunication. Not only China wants to know the world, the world also aspires to havean in-depth knowledge of China.Adapting to this translational eco-environment, translators  China English asthe most appropriate way to express the Chineseness, since China English owns thehighest degree of holistic adaptation and . China English has withstood the test oftime and has undergone the trial of “survival of the fittest”, both on the aspect ofmulti-dimensional transformations and in terms of readers’ feedback. The development ofChina English is just an adaptive and process, which fully represented theessence of translation—a translator’s adaptation and ion activities in a translationaleco-environment. Besides, the existence of China English has filled the lexical gap ofEnglish language to some extent.From the above discussion, we can safely come to a conclusion that China Englishshows an inevitable trend of language development, which is the outcome ofaccommodating to the historical development. In a word, instead of depreciating it, weshould put China English on a proper position, just as Zhang Mingjuan (2008: 101) says“With the more frequent cultural exchanges in the globalization era, we’re justified inpredicting that China English will be playing an increasingly important role incross-cultural communication and gain an increasingly recognition in the internationalcommunity of English”. To put it briefly, the survival of China English is a matter of fact,and China English deserves the name. China English has enriched World Englishes and itsees a vast range of prospects.

 

6.2 Limitations of this Research and Suggestions for Future Researches
In this thesis the author has reported her first dipping of an inquisitive toe into thevast pool of China English. Limitations are inevitable and more could be done in futurestudies.Firstly, since it is not d on corpus, the description of China English cannot be anexhaustive study.
