摘要:本文是一篇英语教学论文发表,笔者认为经过课堂观察的分析讨论,研究型教师的提问涉及到各种思维能力,但缺乏高阶思维能力的培养。对于每一种类型的提问,大多数教师在记忆和理解层面提问,而在分析、评价和创造层面提问的数量最少。
本文是一篇英语教学论文发表,笔者认为教师提问对培养学生的逻辑思维、批判性思维和创造性思维起着至关重要的作用。更确切地说,不同层次的提问对应于培养学生的各种思维能力。因此,教师在阅读课上提问的每一类问题的频率都可以体现出教师注重逻辑思维、批判性思维或创造性思维的培养。
Chapter One Introduction
1.1 Background of the Research
In essence, to pay attention to students‟ key competencies is to pay attention to the fundamental educational issue of “What kind of people should education cultivate?” This is a hot issue that society is paying attention to (Lin Chongde, 2016). The term “thinking capacity”, was widely studied in the 1990s in many countries, such as Canada, Singapore, and England. In China, thinking capacity is one of the key competencies in General Senior High School English Curriculum Standards (2017 edition) (hereinafter referred to as “Curriculum Standards 2017”). Four key competencies (language ability, cultural awareness, thinking capacity, and learning ability) are taken as the specific goal of the English curriculum. Among them, thinking capacity is the focus of mental representation, and it is also a necessary ability for students. Thinking capacity reflects the characteristics and level of students‟ mental development. Cultivating students‟ thinking capacity helps improve students‟ ability to analyze and solve problems. After “Curriculum Standards 2017” was issued, it is an essential to cultivate students‟ thinking capacity in English teaching and learning, which has attracted many scholars in the English teaching field.
Also, English is a language, and thinking and language are closely related to each other. English learning can promote the development of thinking, and thinking ability also facilitates the effectiveness of learning. Reading is at the core of English textbooks and occupies a lot of space. Liu Caizi (2019) stated that thinking ability is one of the essential parts of reading ability; improving students‟ thinking ability helps to enhance students‟ reading ability. At present, in senior high school, students acquire thinking capacity mainly from reading classes; it lays great emphasis on teachers‟ questioning skills. Reading teaching accounts for a large proportion of English teaching in China and cultivates students‟ reading skills, as well as listening, speaking,and writing skills.
1.2 Purpose and Significance of the Research
